Booked at the bistro. Lovely spot! Food mostly good the pork belly was not crispy but chewy but nice pairings! Paella risotto was excellent and fish and chips and burgers good. Service was excellent. It was full but the highlight was the icecream coupe bowl! For 2-4 we were 4 and enjoyed every bite!
The location of this hotel is amazing and while they might have nailed the renovations, the food was a massive let down (Atrium).
We first ordered kids meals along with starting garlic breads, prior to 6 other main meals. 2 of the 3 kids meals arrived after the mains, still with no garlic bread in sight. When we asked for the entrees (garlic bread) we were told they don’t do entrees in the atrium (even though they took our orders). When we then asked for the other kids meal, we were told there was a wait on the kids meals!!! Like a couple of the other reviewers, we had to buy packets of chips to tide the kids over.
Then the mains, all were wrong except one out of the six. Sides came out without the mains, one side came out when the mains were nearly finished. Sauces were wrong with each of the steaks and all were over cooked.
For two adults and three kids, it was over $200 so we expected a lot more than what we received.
This was our second “go” at this hotel and sadly we will not be going back there again to eat, like many of the seasonal campers at the caravan park.
Welcomed by host Claire with a great smile and beautiful bobba tea earrings. The food was really amazing in my previous visit, slightly dropped now. Lovely table service by Riley.
Amazing staff, beautiful food, a overall great experience.
Pumpkin risotto was the best I've ever ate! Steak was so smokey and delicious, kids fish and chips so fresh and the chicken parma was perfect 👌
I highly recommend you check this place out
And staff were all friendly, professional and kind! Service was fast also.
Was seated in front of the kitchen and saw how professional the chefs are along with the waiters/waitresses who all done an amazing job.
Very slow meals, starters came out after 1 hour. Kids had to get packets of chips from the front bar so they didnt eat the cushions. Eventually we had to cancel the mains and depart to the fish and chip shop 2 doors up (nice food, quick meal). The pub was less than half full, other tables nearby were also asking where the meals were. Drinks service was fine.
Anyone rating this dining experience above a 1 star truly needs to re-evaluate.
Expensive food, below average quality.
Dips and bread came to 27.50 and had SIX small wedges of pita. The waitress brought us more because I said what is this?
Chicken Snitzel was like an old tire.
"Prawn" pasta had 4 prawns.
Fish batter was an inch thick.
Spent too much on the renovations and trying to claw it back by skimping on the meals quite clearly.
Its a pub? Not Gordon Ramsay's latest restaurant. Get the food right then worry about being fancy.
Overpriced and quality below average. Agree with Dillon’s comment 3 weeks ago. Anyone who rates this food as excellent needs to get out more and experience really good food . We were a party of three and ordered porterhouse steak with Greens, slow cooked lamb and a beef burger. The only thing that was okay was the beef burger. The lamb was dry and had no flavour, and the porterhouse was cold and not tasty, but tough . Even the chips were bad. This venue used to be fantastic but as the prices have gone up the quality has gone down. ☹️
White wine by the glass needs big improvement, poor quality wines. Menu same price wherever you are, needs differentiation between front bar, atrium and bistro. Aussie open was on and all the screens in the front bar were turned off! Lacked any atmosphere. Shame as renovations are great.
